Well, the season of hot chocolate and bobble hats is just around the corner. Albeit, Christmas preparations began way back in April of this year. This will now be our third Etsy Made Local Christmas event in Cornwall and I have had the pleasure once again of being a co-organiser.
This year we have moved the event to a larger, brighter space at Penryn Campus (Falmouth University) at the Sports Centre. We have selected 70 contemporary crafters, designers and makers to join us. There will be several delicious street food vans, a pop up cafe, and of course coffee to keep you fuelled throughout the weekend.
I will be here selling my illustrated gifts and ceramics. From quirky prints, soaps, handmade pins and paper goods (oh and I will have some exciting new gifts to add to my collection). It really is the perfect event to get all your Christmas shopping done early whilst supporting local small independent makers this holiday season.
My role is to create the artwork and graphics for the event. This year there is a theme of trees. The world needs more trees, desperately. So to highlight that we will be raising money via a raffle (there will be some epic prizes up for grabs) along with a gift wrapping service where any money raised will be donated to 'The Tree Sisters' . A wonderful female lead initiative that helps restore our rainforests.
Definitely not an event to be missed.
COME & JOIN US and CELEBRATE our local talent.
